To Start Your Rental

We appreciate your business and the chance to be a small part of your Hilton Head vacation. The following information will make your Hilton Head vacation better and easier to find your bikes.

Rental Process

You can make an advanced reservation anytime before your arrival or you can order for same–day delivery. If you reserve ahead of time, we will work to have your order prepared and delivered before you arrive at your rental unit. If you are arriving before 4:00 PM, put your anticipated arrival time in the notes and we will do our best to have rentals delivered at your requested time. During peak times of the year we may deliver later than 4:00 PM. Same–day orders will be delivered in the order they are received in combination with our delivery logistics. Please recognize we will do all we can to get to you quickly, but can not guarantee a delivery time – yes, even if the nice person on the phone gives you one. If you would like to pick up from one of our locations, please include that in the order notes and your requested pickup time and we will do our best to accommodate.

Please use the size guide for each item so you can best match the size of bike to the rider’s height. If you need to change out an item for a different size or type, please phone us at (843) 785-2730 to review. There is a switch out fee for these special deliveries, but if we are already going to that part of the island there is no charge. We understand it is hard to keep up with ever changing size of rapidly growing kids.

Items ordered in advance are in stock and will be ready when you arrive. If you order same–day, items are on a first come, first served, basis. We have thousands of bikes and rental items in stock, but there are some items with limited availability such as kids bikes and trailers. All orders must be paid for with a credit card, we don’t accept cash transactions.

One basket is included with each order. If you would like more, please add them as extras in the cart. Also, if you like to tip people for doing service work for you, they are easy to add in $5 increments in the extras section. We provide enough locks to secure your items and a map of Hilton Head Island with some of the places we as locals love to visit. We hope you are able to visit some of them for their great shopping and food offerings.

All fishing rental items must be picked up from, and returned to our location at 612 William Hilton Parkway. There is no way to effectively lock fishing items to prevent them disappearing after we drop them off or you leave them outside for us to pick up. Plus, you will get the chance to meet with our knowledgeable staff to learn some local fishing locations, how to maximize your fun, and catch more fish. If you have not contemplated renting fishing items from us, do so. We offer high end equipment from Penn and all the tackle and bait you need to have a great experience.

If you are staying at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort, please order using the the website for The Stand at Beach & Tennis. If you order though this system for Beach & Tennis, we will transfer the order to The Stand’s system and supply out of their inventory.

During Your Rental

When your items are delivered we will text photo(s) of the items and the lock combination to you at the phone number in your order confirmation. Please remember bikes must be locked at all times you are not riding them. You are responsible for any lost or damaged items. Games and other beach equipment should be stored in your house/condo/room when not using them. Lock bikes and trailers together and if there is a bike rack, to the rack. Do not lock through the basket. The preferred process is to lock through the frame, but if that is not possible, lock through the wheel.

If you need service during your rental, please phone us at (843) 785-2730 for repair or swap out. We want you to enjoy your time on Hilton Head, so please do not wait until the end of your time here to let us know you had an issue. “Stuff” happens, tires go flat, and chains pop off. Please give us the chance to resolve it for you and if you could please be nice to the people on the phone when you call about an issue that would be especially appreciated.

Bikes may be ridden on pathways and the beach, but NOT IN THE WATER. You should rinse sand off the items each evening and before we pickup or you return to our location. Bikes with excessive sand buildup will be charged an extra cleaning fee.

As you ride on the pathways, please remember CARS have the right away at all intersections, stop, look both ways, and then proceed. Please don’t be “That Tourist” and ride across the street or a property entry as vehicles are turning in and out.

The End of Your Rental

All rentals end at 8:00 AM the last day of your rental. We begin pickup as early as 8:00 AM so please ensure the bikes and equipment are locked where we left them. If you rented chairs, games, etc, please lock them to the bikes. Items picked up from our facility must be returned by 10:00 AM. If you really need to get that last morning ride in before heading home, give us a call and we will try to accommodate your request. If we attempt to pick up the items and they are not available, we will charge an amount equal to the current 1 day rental rate on all items listed in the order as a fee for the second trip.
